Welcome to eMediaLINK Help
This page provides complete instructions for using the "new" eMEDIAlink web site.
Simply follow the detailed instructions shown below to upload, view, tag, or even share your content.
With all of the new features we've added, we have had make a few changes in how things work.
But, we think you'll find the new site easier to use and full of some really exciting new features.

New Features:

  • Improved templates and graphics with auto thumbnail creation for all compatible video types.
  • A new powerful search capability - search groups or even the media
  • Helpful statistics, including number of times videos are viewed
  • Quick and easy uploading of many audio and video file types
  • Automatic conversion of many popular video formats into Flash Video
  • An advanced Flash Audio and Video Player with cool new features
  • Ability to add your public content (after approval by us) on the main eMEDIAlink web site.
  • New custom Group creation capability allowing greater content control
  • …and much more!

Changes to Existing Service:

With all of the exciting features we been able to add, we have had to make a few changes to how things work.
  • 100MB per file size limit - This limit helps us make sure we can process the uploaded content in a timely manner
  • No Book, Scripture, or Verse dropdowns - Although you can tag your file with certain information
  • No Speaker dropdown - Again, you can easily add the information in the media description field
  • Trimmed down Control Panel Functionality - We've kept the best features and even added some new tools.
  • Additional Package Minutes can no longer be added - We hope to have this capability added back in the future
  • No additional customer Sign Ups allowed at this time - We want to focus on our existing customers first

Top Navigation Tabs and Links

Home Tab:
The Home Tab takes you to you own "Home page" if you are currently logged in.
If not, the Home tab simply takes you to the current eMEDIAlink "Home page."

Upload Tab: (step 1 of 3)
The Media Title, description, tags, and channels information must be completed before the audio or video file can be uploaded from your computer.
The attributes entered on this page will be associated with the media files that you upload.

Title field:
Enter the title that you would like your users to see when accessing your streaming files.
Note: This field is limited to the following list of characters: lowercase a-z, uppercase A-Z, numbers 0-9, and öüäÖÜÄ!?_-.

Description field:
Enter the description that you would like your users to see when accessing your streaming files.
Note: This field is limited to the following list of characters: lowercase a-z, uppercase A-Z, numbers 0-9, and öüäÖÜÄ-

Tags field:
Enter keywords or "tags" that users might use to search for your media file.
Note: This field is limited to the following list of characters: lowercase a-z, uppercase A-Z, numbers 0-9, and öüäÖÜÄ-
Once all of the fields have been completed on the Step 1. screen, select the Continue button to proceed to the next step.

Uploading Media: (step 2)
Uploading media is the process of copying a prepared media file from your computer to your eMediaLINK account.
Allowed media types include: Quicktime audio and video, Windows Media audio and video, RealMedia audio and video, MPEG (MPG), MPEG4 (MP4) audio and video, or DIVX video.
From the Upload Media screen, select the type of content (audio or video) then click the Browse button to search for the file you wish to upload. A browse window will open.
Select your media file from the browse Window and select Upload button on the Upload Media Screen. The upload process will begin and a meter will show how the upload is progressing. When the upload is complete, there will be a success or failure message displayed. If the process was unsuccessful, retry the Upload Media process again.

Optional "Share your media": (step 3)
Once the upload is complete, you will be redirected to the "Share your media" page. This is where you will always find the code snippets to embed or list your contents on your website. You can also add relevant Date, Location and Country information for your media file.

Media Tab:
To access the Media screen, select the Media tab or link.
There you will see all public media files that are currently available.
There are menu options to sort the media by: Most Recent, Most Viewed, Top Favorites, Recently, Featured or even Random.

Channels Tab::
Channels are similar to what catagories where in the previous eMEDIAlink site. Here, you choose 1 to 3 channels to group your incoming media into an appropriate channel(s).

Groups Tab:
Similar to channels, groups allow users to create custom groupings of media and link directly to those groups. The main group page automatically displays eMEDIAlink featured groups. (selected by eMEDIAlink personnel) You can browse groups by selecting one of the right menu options: Featured, Recently Added, Most Media, Most Topics.

Login/Logout
The Login/Logout tab either logs you in to your account and displays the home page or cancels your current eMediaLINK session and returns you to the Home page screen To login to new eMediaLINK, enter your Username and Password at the Login screen. Select the Login button to access your eMediaLINK account.

Forgot Your Password?
If you have forgotten your password, and you are listed as the administrator for this account, you may have your password e-mailed to you.
Select the Forgot Your Password link from the the login screen.
Your password will be e-mailed to the account administrator e-mail address.
If you wish to change your password, you may select this option from the "my profile" page.
